Study the Scriptures in depth, with grace and clarity

Every course here is free. I am preparing structured courses: guided lessons that walk through Scripture carefully, one step at a time, for lay believers and for pastors and church leaders. “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8, NKJV).

How to Study Any Book of the Bible

A free, step-by-step method for studying any book of the Bible for yourself, from your first reading to faithful application. For lay believers who want to read Scripture with confidence, and for pastors and church leaders who want a clear method to use and pass on.

  • Read a book as a whole and discover who wrote it, to whom, and why
  • Find the outline and follow the author’s argument
  • Read stories, letters, poetry, wisdom, and prophecy on their own terms
  • Study words in context and ask who is being addressed
  • Move from meaning to life with specific application

Format: 10 short video lessons with Philippians as the practice book, a quiz after each lesson, and a certificate of completion.

How to Teach the Bible to Anyone

The next step after studying a book of the Bible: learning to teach it clearly and faithfully. For parents, small-group and Sunday school leaders, Bible study teachers, pastors, and church leaders.

  • Find the main idea of a passage and build your lesson around it
  • Move from careful study to a clear, faithful lesson or message
  • Teach different audiences: children, new believers, small groups, and congregations
  • Lead discussion with good questions and practical application

Planned format: video lessons with practice assignments, for lay teachers and for pastors and church leaders.

Romans: Deliverance from Wrath

A verse-by-verse journey through Paul’s letter to the Romans, using Zane C. Hodges’ commentary Romans: Deliverance from Wrath as a guide and drawing on my doctoral research on the wrath of God in Romans.

  • Follow Paul’s argument from chapter 1 to chapter 16
  • Understand what Romans means by “wrath” and “salvation”
  • See the difference between justification and sanctification
  • Find freedom and assurance for daily Christian living

Planned format: video lessons, a study guide for each lesson, and a leader’s version for small-group and church use.
